Weekend Rest and Recuperate
Take time this weekend to rest, recuperate, and find ways to calm yourself. I won't be posting until Monday except to add a few ways to entertain yourself. Also, adding a few notes on how you might approach doing this retreat-in-daily life.
Suggestions:
The daily posts are meant to be inspiration. You're not meant to digest everything. Pick and choose what fits for you, and let it inspire you to find ways that work for you.
All daily posts are on one long thread. So if you missed one, scroll down until you find it.
You may subscribe so it comes to you automatically once a day. Or you may find it posted on FB or Twitter.
Feel free to share this with others, and to comment if you choose.
Most of all, enjoy spending time taking good care of yourself and those you are with. Furry, feathered, scaled, or skin-types all.
Art Prompts.

First...go outside if you can and find five cute little treats you find upon your path.
Then use them in someway to inspire little drawings, a poem or a word...put that on the page. Use a marking tool ie pencil, pen, crayon, pastel...
Second: Paint a light layer of any color that stands out to you right this second...and paint around the drawings or words.
Third: Take 5 deep breaths. Relax. grab another marking tool( different color) and close your eyes and draw a tea cup. Draw 5.
Fourth: Prompt suggestion: Fill in 4 shapes with contrasting colors using paints, markers, crayons, pens or whatever.
Fifth: adding an odd number of stars in a bright color or gold or yellow
Sixth prompt! Use our fingers and make circles! I'm gonna do it.
Seventh: add lines... any color any size any shape! Feel it out!!! Scribble too!
Eighth: Prompt suggestion- find 10 different sized rocks and use to make shapes on canvas. Reuse extra paint from rocks on another canvas!
Ninth: this may be scary but it has to be done🤪. Make 5 or more large blocks of contrast color to cover some of your beautiful layers. Don’t worry.. they are still under there! Scratch into the wet blocks a design or scribble or words on a couple!
